Meet the Team

Joe Dan Kendrick

FOUNDER & GM
Joe Dan is a third-generation tile supply owner with deep roots in the flooring and building industry. He holds an associates degree in drafting and earned his bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University (2005).
Joe Dan is an avid reader and enjoys building anything that involves power tools. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, camping, and hands-on projects. He is actively involved in serving his church and regularly travels to Ethiopia on short-term mission trips, where he values building relationships and giving back through service.
Tyler Kendrick

SALES & PURCHASING MANAGER

Tyler works alongside customers and contractors to help them find the right products for their projects. He brings a hands-on, practical approach and enjoys building real relationships with the people he serves.
Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2021 and has been working with his dad since 2012. When he’s not at work, he enjoys playing guitar, skiing, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his new bride Shelby.
Emmalie Kendrick

SHOWROOM MANAGER

Emmalie helps keep Black Lion Tile Supply organized and welcoming by maintaining the showroom and taking most of the incoming phone calls. She enjoys supporting customers and making sure daily operations run smoothly.
Emmalie earned her bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2025 and has been working with her dad since 2021. In her free time, she loves painting, drawing, reading, gardening, sewing, and eating sushi.
Faith Day

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGE
Faith is always working hard behind the scenes paying bills and updating our ever changing price books. Her attention to detail ensures our team is working with current numbers and we are in good standing with our vendors.
Faith bring an extensive knowledge in communication and servant leadership. She is an avid reader, enjoys hand crafts, and loves spending quality time with her three beautiful grandchildren.

Our story

Family owned and operated, Black Lion Tile Supply has deep roots in West Texas that go as far back as 1973. Grandson of Roy & Shirley Anderson. Joe Dan Kendrick acquired the Abilene (ATS) location in 2018 and moved forward with a simple yet bold business plan. “Sew generously into the people who walk through our door and there will always be plenty to share.”
