FounderJoe Dan Kendrick
Joe Dan is a third-generation tile and flooring professional and the owner of Black Lion Tile Supply. He is passionate about helping customers make confident, informed decisions and enjoys sharing his knowledge of all things tile and flooring.
Joe Dan earned an associate’s degree in computer-aided drafting in San Jose, California, and a bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2025. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, fishing, kayaking, camping, gardening, cooking anything on his smoker, spending quality time with his family, and traveling—especially to Ethiopia, where he enjoys serving the people. He and his wife Lora have three adult children, one teenager, and a Vizsla (bird dog).
Contractor Sales & OrderingTyler Kendrick
Tyler works alongside customers and contractors to help them find the right products for their projects. He brings a hands-on, practical approach and enjoys building real relationships with the people he serves.
Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2021 and has been working with his dad since 2012. When he’s not at work, he enjoys playing guitar, skiing, woodworking, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his new bride Shelby.

Emmalie helps keep Black Lion Tile Supply organized and welcoming. She enjoys supporting customers and making sure daily operations run smoothly.
Emmalie earned her bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2025. In her free time, she loves painting and drawing, reading, gardening, sewing, and eating sushi.
